    Hi...

I hope some of y'all might be able to help me find some accessories for a 1954 doll I'm making for my mom for Christmas.

My mom was born in 1945, which would make her 9 years old in 1954, just like the dolls. I'm going to try to write a set of stories for her doll, or at least the Meet story as not only is the time period historical, but she grew up in an important local historical district in our town.

One of the big things I'm looking for is a 18" doll size record player with pretend 45's, because my Gran used to buy my mom a 45 every two weeks for being good. Has anyone seen one of these?

I know I can use Molly's Bike and I'm trying to find one of the McD MA Bride Dolls, because she got a Bride doll for Christmas when she was 10.

Any links or suggestions would be welcome! Links to vintage doll clothes patterns would be great too. As I'm trying to find a pattern that matches a picture I have of my mom then.

    TIA
    ~Holly

Can you scan the picture? It would be ALOT easier if we know what we are looking for.

Look for Chatty Cathy patterns and clothes. They fit american girl dolls really well. She came out in 1960, but most of her clothes were/are way more 50s.
